loose goose

More images for fun.

Loosen up

I felt like I needed to just let loose with my drawing and not worry about the image to much, sometimes it feels like I'm being a bit restricted when I'm trying to make everything perfect. So here are a couple of images from my loosening up session.

They are part blind so I don't worry about if it comes out not looking quite right. But I quite like the character they have.

A Sneaky Peek

A sneaky peek of an image going into a new childrens book I have written called 'The Storm'.
It is hopefully being shown to publishers in London next week, I don't expect I will get a commission right there and then but I will be able to get some feedback from the people at the top which will great. I will keep you posted on the feedback I get.

Hide and Seek

I came up with a book idea called 'Hide and Seek'. These two double page spreads would be part of one of the 'Hide and Seek' books, this one would be about finding insects in your backgarden/park. The idea is to get children out of the house and trying to get them intrested in nature. Each page comes with a make your own insect, a little tick list of the types of that insect you have found and a counter which would go towards a game.

Pride.

A few weeks ago I went to gay pride in Brighton, it was great fun with some amazing costumes. Here is just a few of them. Also I know I haven't kept up my promise of uploading every 3 days but there are four images here so it doesn't count, ok well maybe it does. I'll try harder to keep them coming. I dont usually get stuck for ideas of what to draw but if there are any suggestions I will happily take them on board.

Just a couple of little doodles. I was trying to play with the text intergrating with the image.

Monday, 16 August 2010

Another drawing of myself but this time in parts I didnt look at the paper. This is why one eye is double the size of the other! But I think it gives the image a bit more character.

So I thought I would try a self-portrait. When on location and in lessons my friends try to draw me and seem to get annoyed that they can’t my face is apparently 'undrawable'!
I thought I would try and prove them wrong and as most of you do not know what I look like, I could say this is a great representation of my face. But I have to be honest; this does not really look like me. Even though it seems I also can’t draw my own face it has been fun working with pencils again.I have been a bit slack with uploading; so from now on I will try to upload a piece of work at least every three days.

Tutu Teddy.
Made from a range of old clothes.

Thursday, 17 June 2010

These images have been inspired by
Hiawyn Oram's poem 'In the Attic'.
I have created a childrens book using the text.

This is an image for an adult
narrative by J. G. Ballard. One day
he wakes up and seems to be the only
human alive.

Both of these are images for a project on flags.
I was given a random object to then create a
range of diffrent images using that object.
