Something a little different

Something a little different from me. I fancied having a doodle and working with pencil again. I think I will try to recreate this image using just ink next and make the block colour more definate.

All grown up

My little sister is all grown up and moved out. I thought I would give her a little housewarming gift. As she had all of the bits and bobs she needed, I drew her this image to add a bit of colour and art to her flat.

Work in progress

Hello everyone.
Here is a late (work in progress) valentine treat.
I have been listening to a lot of Ella Fitzgerald over the past few years and have only recently thought about creating art work for it. This one will change a bit as some of the words need to be re-positioned and might play around with colour a bit. Lots more to come.
Happy Saturday

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No..oh wait its a bird

Guess what I drew some more patterned things! I'm going to add to the yellow buildings I think, try out different tree ideas. Also which colour combo do you prefer with the birds? Or niether of them?
Muchas Gracias.

Strike a pose

I thought I would try out some fashion like images using pattern and shapes. It was really fun to create this I think I will try out some more using a limited colour. I used an image from an asos magazine and changed the print on the girls clothing.

Building fun

Hello. I needed to get back into the fun of drawing and the easiest way for me to do that is to draw some buildings.  I am going to be creating some patterns with buildings soon, watch out for those.
In other news, the author of Dolly's Diary and myself will be doing another book signing in Eastbourne on the 14th of September, 9-12 at Martha's Kitchen in Meads Village. Pop on over if you fancy a new signed book! If you are still interested but can't make it to Eastbourne we are selling the book online at http://www.dollysdiary.com

Hello again and give away

Firstly hello!
Sorry its been so long again.
Attached is the invitation I created for my good friend Faye who is getting married in July. (Sorry for the bad picture quality I'm not sure why that happened?)
Anyway I have been busy drawing away. I am working on some new things with DK and the childrens book I mentioned a while ago is coming to the final stages! So nearly ready to buy YAY.
I have now reached over 80 followers yay again and welcome. I have a feeling I did mention I would do a little give away when I reached 80 followers so here it comes!
It you fancy winning some free Handmade Holly goodies then let me know by commenting below with the word win, or on my facebook page and make sure you 'like' and say win on my wall.
Please make sure you enter by 22 April. I will then pick one (or more!) people from random to win. Have a good week!

Use your loaf

(Winning entry)

These images are possible entries into a competition to design imagery for tote bags. The images have to incorporate bread and cornwall, also I can only use two colours (the white areas will be the bag if its printed). Your feedback on the designs and colours would really help. Thanks :)

Grow your own cover

I just relised I never showed the front cover for the project I did last year about growing food at home. So here it is!
