Bens Birthday Book

Hello to you all, and I hope your weather has been as nice as it is here, if a little windy.
A little while ago I was asked by an old school friend to create a birthday book for her nephew Ben. She wanted the book to be about him and his family, a keep sake.
She wrote the story with her family and I illustrated the pages along side, bound the book and sent it off.
The last image is Ben reading his book, its great to see something coming to life and the audience it is intended for enjoying it.

Building fun

Hello. I needed to get back into the fun of drawing and the easiest way for me to do that is to draw some buildings.  I am going to be creating some patterns with buildings soon, watch out for those.
In other news, the author of Dolly's Diary and myself will be doing another book signing in Eastbourne on the 14th of September, 9-12 at Martha's Kitchen in Meads Village. Pop on over if you fancy a new signed book! If you are still interested but can't make it to Eastbourne we are selling the book online at http://www.dollysdiary.com

Its a feather!

I drew this a few months ago while I was trying out pattern and using white on a darker colour. I quite like the outcome, I think I'm going to give a few more a go and try to create a pattern with different feathers.

Celebration

Recently my good friends Faye and John got engaged, and I am very excited and happy to be one of the many bridesmaids in July. I wanted to give them something that they could keep, so I made this. They type and the little heart are hand embroidered and the leaf pattern was created with my sewing machine. Its not perfect, but you can tell its handmade, lets say it adds to the charm.
I have made a promise to myself, when I get to 80 followers, only 11 people away, I will give away some goodies so keep your eyes peeled and if you think any of your friends would like my work and this blog send them this way, everyone is welcome!
I also wanted to say thank you to you all. I am very greatful that you have chosen to follow my work and blog, it means alot. So would you all like to come round for tea and cake?

I make things too

A ring I made for my good friends birthday last week. I created the top of the ring by hand sewing beads onto felt. I'm happy with the out come, and I didn't really want to give it away, but she liked it so it made it all worth while. Have a lovely weekend :)

Hello there!

Hello all.

Mcmillian is all handed in, these are the two dummy books made. Although I have to make another 4! I am going to New York in the next week and will need to take extra copies! I wish I had a magical dummy book making machine, does anyone have one I could use?

I would love to go on the beach and just sit and not think, but no on with work. I will keep going till the NY flight then I can pass out of 8 hours!
